How I deal with Insecurities

“Genesis 2:24” Many of us have insecurities, some of which we are afraid to admit. I have insecurities several of which I have been dealing with since a child. My most secret insecurities are my weight, wearing glasses and my feet. The devil likes to throw things your way, things to remind you of who you once were and who you are today in Christ. He loves for you to compare yourself to others...to think like others, and he loves to hear you put yourself down.  SHOCKING RIGHT?! Well, too bad my friend because this is true. I have been dealing with my weight that is my struggle and everyone knows this. My weight is a constant struggle and sometimes I find myself comparing my body to others. I remember when I had my first encounter with the Holy Spirit, I was told that “ I didn’t have to live in sin and that my body was designed for my husband !”  Genesis 2: 24 “Therefore a Man shall leave his mother and father and he shall lay with his wife and they shal...

Fashion on a Christian Perspective with Iesha Nicole

My sole purpose for interviewing Iesha was to break everyone’s idea of the Great Christian Women. Many of us question ourselves what exactly is okay and what are my limits on dressing being in Christ. What other way to address the subject than interview a Holy Chic herself and get her views on life and how she handles critics in the church! I believe everyone should be inspired by someone or something; most definitely you should be inspired by Christ and his journey! People should be your first ministry of course but your ministry should always start at home be comfortable within yourself before you can teach others! Good evening Miss Iesha Nicole, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answers some question for the viewers of passion and purpose! As we all know you are an Aspiring Image Consultant you carry yourself very well and you are very inspiring! Let’s get to it! 1.       When was your first encounter with God and...

Reconnect not disconnect

Lately, I have been feeling so disconnected with God. I think about him but I never actually take the time out of my day to sit and spend time with him, when I do, I feel so connected and then I start to repeat the same pattern. I get on the internet I make sure that I follow certain pastors & people that encourage others on websites and various blogs so that way when I am not focusing on the Lord, I get so distracted that I come out of distraction get wrecked and start to want to actually spend time with God. Coming from a very religious background it is very important I know this but as Young People we sometimes not make it a priority. We want others to pray for us and lead us but how can another pray for a blessing that we are not even ready for? (Did this question distract you…Did this question make you think?) First of all, we all desire to fellowship with the lord by ourselves and even with friends. Fellowship is very important even tithes and offerings. Truly to b...

I've Got DRAMA!

Tonight, I got tested. Did I pass the test? I pray that I did. Whom I was tempted by I cannot say but I can tell you the story as you read along. Many of us can become so agitated and so overwhelmed at our jobs at times we lose are patience. We all have that aggravating Boss, customers and associates but if you are in ministry or trying to start your own business or trying to learn how to communicate it can help you. On a workplace you have to deal with multiple personalites some when which can change daily. Everyone is not designed the same and we all have mixed emotions and some of us do not know how to handle our emotions, such as myself. God has been working with me for years, I get so aggravated and I tend to want to quit anything and everything on the spot. God will tend to humor you because he knows you so much that he even knows how to work on things with you in a manner that will better you. Tonight, I was so overwhelmed I felt as though drama was ...

Sexual Immortality

Passion & Purpose on Sexual Immortality                                   By: Malika Al-Qadir I encourage you to find bible verses that speak of sexual immortality and memorize them and learn them whenever you feel attacked. 1 Thessalonians 4: 3-5 “   For this is the will of God,   your sanctification:   that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4  that each one of you know how to control his own   body   in holiness and   honor,   5  not in the passion of lust   like the Gentiles   who do not know God ” You may or may not want to admit that you suffer from sexual immortality. But I beg to differ. Sexual immortality is a long life sin that has been on this very earth for ages. And the bible ...
