my opinion, GODS OPINION

There used to be a time in my life when I let people’s opinions of me CONTROL ME. It mattered so much to where it ruled and controlled my life. :( It mattered what people thought of me, who liked me and if they truly cared. WOW, I can hear my mother telling me, "Why do you care?", "Why does it bother you?" She would always tell me, "Who cares!" A lot of this stemmed from past experiences and being teased, picked on and bullied.... and personal relationships. My temper controlled me and controls me. I am learning to teach myself to calm down! LOL, what exactly is calming down? Having wisdom and knowledge enough to think before I speak, this is easier said than done. When we are argumentative it drives people away. I scarred people. I was quick enough to jump down someone’s throat without asking. I hated when someone teased me or had something to say about me. Afterwards, I didn’t even feel an ounce of guilt. I never even thought about the guilt or the shame. I blamed whoever said something smart or whoever talked about me. (LOL Yes I was this bad) (Can you relate?)

In Galatians 1:10, the verse speaks of valuing Gods opinion other than my own; the devils opinion and the worlds.  (Galatians 1:10 Am I know trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? or am I trying to please people? If i were still trying to please people, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ. )  

No one’s opinions matter except Jesus. God doesn’t care what anyone says. He calls me as his own. He calls me beautiful and he loves me as such. Why do we then value other people’s opinion? Why? Simply put. We have done this forever. When you allow sin to control you, it controls you. It’s a strong battle between spirit and flesh. Strong…..

I want to now break down opinions. What exactly is an opinion and what does Gods opinion say. Opinion: is a view or judgement formed about something not necessarily based on fact or knowledge aka Outlook.

My opinion: What you actually think. Are you judging someone based on looks or characteristics? Are you basing your opinions off of what someone else thinks? Your opinion should be based off of Jesus. Allow God to control you, once he does it should matter and you shouldn’t have to care about an opinion.

Gods Opinion: The only opinion in life that should actually matter because it is based on facts. Why, because he made us, he is the last and final judge and ruler over our lives. He matters. He knows us. He forms us. Most importantly, he doesn’t care what people say about Him or us. Who CARES!

Once you have really accepted the fact that you are Gods and nothing else really matters. Nothing….

I remembered having a church friend minister to me and she told me that God didn’t care what anyone thought of me. He didn’t care what anyone says. He called me as his own. He called me distinctively for his purpose. To, “Spread the Gospel!”

Let me tell you that this stuck me. (LOL)

No one knew this but God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. Yes, God uses people to instruct us and help us. God loves us this much. We matter to him. (We matter)

You are not just another someone.

You are Gods child.

You are loved.

You are valued.
