Do you remember your Christmas celebrations as a child? Can
you remember it being peaceful and wonderful? If not, have you held on to it,
forgiven it and let it go? The holiday season for most people is usually ruff;
people become depressed, uneasy and unhappy. Nothing and no one makes them feel
joyful. So let us talk about “Our Holiday Blues.” How we can spot it and what
we can do to overcome it.
For many, there are a lot of people who do not celebrate Christmas
prior to religious reasons. For some that used to celebrate Christmas they now
no longer chose to; there are several reason why, the spirit of rejection. This spirit can cause several problems such
as, fear, self-doubt, loneliness, depression, missing a loved one and a
termination from a job. The spirit of rejection is a foul spirit; it can creep
on you unknowingly. Many people never realize that this is upon them. We need
to break this spirit. Rejection can also come from past relationships from a
family member who has a connection you or it can come from an unresolved issue.
Call out the pain pray for forgiveness; speak the word of God into your life. Psalm 91:2. How can we free ourselves
from spiritual soul ties if we never confess or realize that we have them? Pray
for discernment. Pray for The Holy Spirit and God to seek out your life and
help you see how he sees. I am almost positive that he will help.
Secondly, how do we know if we need help? First of all, you will
know when friends, coworkers and family start questioning you. You know the
questions like, “Are you okay?” “How are you feeling?” “Why are you alone?” Don’t be ashamed when people ask or ponder on
your life. God may have used them to help you. Why be afraid? Don’t forget God.
Family of Christ it is okay to ask for help. It is natural of us to confess of
sin. Never allow your soul to fall in depression; depression is a terrible
sickness that can lead to death. Friends do not let anyone steal your peace,
your joy or the foundation that God has built upon your life. Watch who you let
encourage you. Care for you fruit, the fruit of the spirit is precious and it
belongs to you.
Overall, friends of God, it is our responsibility to speak life
into the nations. To encourage and help others, don’t be ashamed when some
people refuse your help. Instead shake the dust off of your feet and continue
on, God will deal with them alone. We have to be careful of how we speak to
people because we never know who is suffering and who is going through things
unless The Holy Spirit tells us. If you see someone who is down and depress
speak to them and encourage them. Even if
you feel like you don’t know what to say, pray within your spirit and ask God
for help. He will help and may lead to a scripture verse for the person.
Last but not least, don’t lose hope. Don’t give up and don’t forget
about God, he surely hasn’t forgotten about us. We are still in the number. Keep
your faith. Keep pressing on.
Love,
Malika Qadir
